Behind the Recipes: The Making of Homemade Goodies (2023)

David's fourteenth film (as well as his fifth documentary), this film goes behind-the-scenes of his Homemade Goodies series.

Homemade Goodies (2020 - present)

David's first series, Homemade Goodies shows the various foods that David makes, from cookies to cake pops in Season 1, from steak to chicken in Season 2, and a mix of savory and sweet in Season 3. Each episode showcases a different treat/meal, goes into David's personal history with them, and shows how to make them.

Pachycephalosaurus (2018)

David's thirteenth film, this stop motion piece is the last film he made at Santa Fe University of Art & Design.

The Best of Santa Fe Comic Con 2017 (2018)

David's twelfth film/fourth documentary, this film explores various fun aspects of Santa Fe Comic Con. It was specially commissioned from the coordinator of Santa Fe Comic Con.

The Diaconate (2018)

David's eleventh film, The Diaconate was made for his Documentary Storytelling class in the fall of 2017, his last semester at SFUAD. The film explores the history and importance of deacons in the Catholic Church, and it has officially been shared by the Diocese of Gallup's Website and YouTube account. In addition, it was an official selection of the 2019 New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase.

The Date (2017)

David's tenth film, The Date was made for his Intro to Directing class in the fall of 2017, his last semester at SFUAD. In the film, a young man invites a female friend over to his apartment for the first time ever, and it goes wrong.

Sasquatch Vengeance (2016)

David's ninth film, Sasquatch Vengeance is about a man who wants vengeance on a Sasquatch that killed his brother. The film was made for the same college course as Returning to the Rails.

Returning to the Rails: Restoring the 2926 (2016)
 
David's eighth film, this documentary was made primarily for a class project, but also for the New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society. Returning to the Rails covers the history of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe (AT&SF) engine 2926, from its construction to its current restoration. The film is also on the official NMSL&RHS Facebook and YouTube accounts.

A Walk on the Wild Side (2016)

 

David's seventh short, this documentary follows him on a trip to the Minnesota Zoo back in July 2015. The film was shot on a whim (that is, no prep time) and was essentially made for film practice.

Rewind (2015)

 

Made for an entry for an arts festival, Rewind is a film that had to incorporate a theme of rewinding (whether the footage is played backwards or a scenario is acted/edited in reverse) and had to be less than a minute in run time.

Tripasaurus (2014)

 

As David's first major college production, Tripasaurus is a stoner-comedy about a stoner who sees dinosaurs during a trip.

The Grants High School Ecosystem (2014)

 

As David's final project during high school, this film is a mockumentary about his high school, Grants High School (in Grants, New Mexico), and is a parody of wildlife documentaries, particularly The Crocodile Hunter

A Mole Day Carol (2012)

 

Made for the same chemistry course as Iodine: A Villains' MeetingA Mole Day Carol is a parody of A Christmas Carol about Mole Day (October 23, which reflects on the equation for a mole in chemistry: 6.02 x 10^23). When a chemistry student dislikes the idea of Mole Day, three ghosts attempt to convince him otherwise.

Iodine: A Villains' Meeting (2012)

 

Made for a chemistry assignment, Iodine: A Villains' Meeting explores the properties of the element iodine through villains from various series discussing the element to take over the world.

The Ancient Ones (2011)

David's first film, The Ancient Ones was made for a school project. The film concerns three Ice Age hunters and their hunt for a mammoth.
